Bringing the whale skeleton back to La Plagette
Sculpture dans l’espace public
A childhood memory of Sète: the half-buried whale skeleton in the garden of the Oceanographic Museum, brought back to La Plagette in concrete blocks.

A childhood memory
As a child in Sète, we often went for walks in the garden of the Oceanographic Museum. There was a whale skeleton there, half buried in the ground. I tried to bring this memory back to life with this project.
One sculpture is still on show in the sculpture park of Château Vargoz, in Sérignan.
